The AG-CX20 and AG-CX18 camcorders feature cutting-edge optical technology, as well as a lightweight and compact chassis design that offers greater mobility and high-quality video production.

Wide-angle zoom lens for precise shooting
The camcorders offer superior optical performance with a powerful built-in 25mm wide-angle zoom lens and 600mm telephoto zoom, with 24x optical zoom. They feature a 4-unit lens system that drives each lens group independently, as well as two manual focus rings.

Next-generation stabilization and focusing
This camcorder features optical and electronic image stabilization to detect and correct any unwanted vibrations on five axes, including rotational blur. This is particularly useful when shooting subjects from very high and low angles. It also features a very high focusing speed, stability and superior tracking performance when shooting in both 4K and FHD, and this is also thanks to the Face Detection AF/AE function that provides precise focus and exposure for subjects.

IP-based video with NDI HX2 and SRT streaming
The high-end CX20 model will also support full-HD live streaming via the next-generation IP-based SRT protocol, being able to provide simultaneous SDI/HDMI outputs. The Panasonic CX20 also supports NDI® HX2 IP connectivity for high-quality, low-latency live streaming in a network environment, without the need for external converters. The AG-CX20 supports Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP), allowing live streaming directly to social media platforms and video sharing sites such as YouTube.

IR (infrared) shooting in dark places
The IR Cut filter can be switched on/off (assigned to the User button). When the filter is off, commercially available IR lights* can be used for shooting in dark places.

Compact design for superior mobility
The unique design allows heat to be dissipated from the front panel by a thin fan. This increases reliability and allows the body to be as small as possible. The CX20 includes Panasonic's VW-HU1 handle unit, which features dual-channel XLR audio input and control and a bright, adjustable LED light for low-light shooting. Users can also easily operate the lens zoom from the handle.

All the connections and formats you need
All four cameras in this product lineup support multiple bit rates and formats for a variety of requirements. When configured for 10-bit recording with an HDMI output, all models provide 4K 60p 4:2:2 output to an external recorder. All cameras support MOV, MP4 and AVCHD formats, while the CX20 supports P2 MXF workflow.
