XF605 represents the next generation of the XF series. This feature-packed camcorder is capable of operating in 4K 60p / 50p at 4: 2: 2 10-bit and Full HD with a frame rate of up to 120p in a compact body. Equipped with a 1 "CMOS sensor and a DIGIC DV 7 processor, this new camcorder delivers the highest level performance required by today's professionals. The XF605 offers a number of customized image options that can be adjusted to suit different needs and ensure greater flexibility in post-production or in the field. These include the HDR format (HLG / PQ), Canon Log3 and the Look Files created by the user.
The XF605 uses the same 5-axis optical image stabilization system used in the XF and XA series to produce perfect video, even in dynamic shooting scenarios. There are four image stabilization options achieved by combining different settings in Standard, Dynamic and Powered IS mode, allowing users to select the most suitable and effective stabilization for their shooting conditions. The XF605 is also equipped with a powerful 4K L-series lens that provides 15x optical zoom and 30x advanced zoom in Full HD, ideal for shooting long distance subjects.
The XF605 utilizes the fast and accurate Dual Pixel CMOS AF autofocus system introducing Eye AF mode and the EOS iTR AF X Intelligent Face Tracking and Detection functionality for the first time in the XF series. Keeps the subject in focus even if it moves away from the camera. A new Direct Touch user interface allows you to quickly and intuitively select subjects to focus on, as well as control on-screen settings, menu navigation and playback.

XF605 is about 10% smaller and 600g lighter than XF705. Weighing in at 2kg, this portable camcorder is perfect for effortless shooting on the go. Designed for operators who work alone, the XF605 combines portability with a new multifunctional accessory shoe that has been designed to extend the camera's capabilities with innovative accessories. The camera also responds to the growing popularity of live streaming recorded in the last year with a number of features, including: IP streaming, remote control for multi-camera operations along with Canon's range of PTZ cameras and the addition of encoding. UVC which facilitates use in webcam mode via USB-C.
XF605 is a flexible camera that fits perfectly into existing workflows. Thanks to the dual SD card slot and multiple recording options, you can record different formats, resolutions, color samples and proxies simultaneously on separate cards. It is also possible to send the image to both 12G-SDI and HDMI connections simultaneously, which can be connected to any combination of monitors and recording and broadcast systems to support live and pre-recorded workflows. Ideal for shooting on the go, the XF605 is compatible with Canon's new Content Transfer Mobile (CTM) app which allows you to edit image metadata before and after capture and import video from the camera to your phone, allowing for direct transfer to the servers of the television station.
