DeckLink IP cards are the easiest way to capture and play back video directly into your IP 2110 broadcast system.
They have the same features as the DeckLink family, so they're compatible with your existing software.
DeckLink IP cards have multiple channels of video, each capable of capturing and playing back at the same time.
You can set up rack servers for broadcast graphics, virtual sets or GPU based AI image processing, all integrated into the IP 2110 broadcast infrastructure. You can even use DaVinci Resolve on your broadcast editing workstation using IP 2110 video!
DeckLink IP features a high speed PCIe connection that works with the latest Mac Pro, Windows and Linux computers.
10G Ethernet for SMPTE 2110 IP channels
DeckLink IP cards are compliant with the SMPTE ST2110 standard for IP video, which defines how video, audio and ancillary data should be transported, synchronized and described over IP networks for broadcast.
It also keeps video sources synchronized using PTP.
DeckLink IP supports SMPTE-2110-20 for uncompressed video, SMPTE-2110-21 for traffic modes and timing, SMPTE-2110-30 for audio, and SMPTE-2110-40 for ancillary data.
The great advantage of SMPTE 2110 is that audio, video, and ancillary data are transported independently on the network.
DeckLink IP also supports multicast, a highly efficient method of distributing video, audio, and data from a single source to multiple destinations.
Built-in video firewall for a secure IP network
2110 IP video computers and networks can be vulnerable to rogueware and hackers, because anyone can send data to the computer's Ethernet connection.
DeckLink IP eliminates this problem by transferring video using frame buffers.
It's like a firewall for video! This means that DeckLink IP's Ethernet port is isolated from everything that isn't video or audio.
As with all DeckLink cards, video and audio are passed through internal frame buffers, and video playback is handled and then converted for the IP 2110 video channels.
This makes it impossible for rogueware or hackers to directly access the IP 2110 network!
Compatible with all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60
DeckLink IP's connections are multi-rate, so they are compatible with all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats, depending on the model.
The DeckLink IP/SDI card includes both IP 2110 and 3G-SDI, so you can connect to your SDI equipment and the new IP-based infrastructure at the same time.
In standard definition, DeckLink IP is compatible with 525i59.94 and 625i50 standards.
In high definition, all DeckLink IP cards support 720p, 1080i and 1080p up to 1080p60.
In Ultra HD, it supports all video standards up to 2160p60.
Video standards can be set individually for each channel and changed instantly from the Desktop Video utility or directly via the DeckLink SDK.
10-bit broadcast-quality video
DeckLink IP cards are designed to work with the highest quality video.
They capture and play back common video formats, including Apple ProRes, DNxHD and even 10-bit uncompressed, giving you the flexibility to work with different file formats.
10-bit is the most widely used television standard because it delivers 4x more color accuracy than 8-bit video.
Only 10-bit uncompressed video ensures that the output image matches the original source pixel for pixel, so you can always work at the highest quality possible.
You can generate flawless green screen keys, VFX compositions and do high end color correction!
The IP10 codec supports 2160p59.94 or 2160p60 over 10G Ethernet
All DeckLink IP cards support SMPTE-2110 IP video data rates that do not exceed 10G Ethernet per channel, so you can use downstream devices that are smaller, more powerful and cost effective.
Even when working in Ultra HD at 2160p59.94 or 2160p60, which exceeds the bandwidth for 10-bit uncompressed video, the Blackmagic IP10 codec solves this problem! By leveraging the open IP10 standard, the DeckLink IP 100G model lowers the data rate of the 2160p59.94 and 2160p60 television standards to the point of reducing their latency to 8 samples. Furthermore, being a very compact codec that uses very few FPGA resources, it allows the use of low-cost SMPTE-2110 IP video products.
