The 6066 CORE subminiature headset capsule is only 3mm in diameter, but it packs the audio power of DPA's larger award-winning microphones.
Despite its small size, it sounds incredible with clarity, consistency and robustness, three qualities that really matter.
By reducing the size, with CORE by DPA technology, we ensure that you don't have to compromise on sound to focus on aesthetics.
In addition to the small size and big sound potential, these microphones use a completely redesigned, lightweight, one-size-fits-all headset that rests over the ears for maximum comfort.
A 3-point spring-loaded support helps grip under the ears and on the side of the head for added security.
A 2-way adjustable boom (length and height) with anti-rotation mechanism makes this new headset very easy to wear.
A new 90° cable guide protects the cable and directs it to the back of the wearer, where it can't be seen.

IP58 certified
CORE subminiatures are IP58 certified. This robustness is achieved through a series of protection mechanisms:
- Hydrophobic nano-coating of the cover and housing
- Sensitive hermetic sealing of the amplifier in the center of the microphone
- Double gold plating of the diaphragm

CORE shrunk to 3mm

This means that despite their small size, the performance of the Subminiature 6060 CORE series is completely comparable to the world-renowned 5 mm miniature capsules.

PVD-coated microphone
The entire microphone is made of stainless steel and is PVD-coated, as is the grille covering the capsule.

This has allowed us to significantly reduce the size of the microphone and increase its durability. A click - both tactile and audible on the microphone grille, ensures that the grille has been correctly attached to the microphone body.
Furthermore, if you look closely, you can see that the microphone grille, resembles the well-known DPA logo grille.
Not only does it look amazing, but it also increases the resistance to water and sweat.

The small holes in the grille, combined with the chosen material, make these microphones extremely robust, able to withstand the harsh environments in which they are typically used.

3-Point On-Ear Support
The headband uses some amazing technology. Most headsets on the market use a 1- or 2-point support system, either on top of the ear or (sometimes) under the ear.
This headband relies on a 3-point support system, adding a support area behind the ear by gently pressing inward.
This not only makes the headset more secure around the head even in critical situations, but also makes it extremely comfortable to wear even for long periods.
