Yamaha Matrix Processor, Mix. Ch.: 8 Mono, 3 stereo, 16 b. outputs, 8 analog inputs/outputs, YDIF, DANTE, MY card slot, MTX-MRX editor

Designed primarily for multi-zone commercial installations, the MTX series matrix processors are equipped with flexible processing functions essential for a wide range of applications such as retail stores, bars/restaurants or banquet halls.
Responsible for the main processing functions present at the heart of our system, the MTX processors allow you to configure, program and manage the entire system through the intuitive interface of the MTX Editor software application.
The series includes two models with DSP functions and expansion capabilities, allowing the MTX processors to meet the demands of a wide range of commercial environments.

° Versatile input/output configuration
The MTX series features a combination of analog and digital.
Dante and YDIF connections mean there will always be enough inputs & outputs for the size of your system.

° SD memory card slot for playback
The MTX series features an input/output configuration ideal for a wide range of applications: 8 mono inputs (mic/line), 2 stereo inputs (line) and 16 digital inputs via YDIF.
The output section consists of 8 mono line-level outputs and 16 digital outputs via YDIF.
MTX processors also feature an SD card slot for playback of MP3/WAV files stored on an SD card.
The Event Scheduler function allows you to play these files as music or announcements or use external devices with GPI output at scheduled intervals, as well as recall songs stored within the MTX.

° System for easily increasing input and output
The EXi8/Exo8 are input/output expanders for the MTX/MRX series.
EXi8 converts analog mic/line signals to digital and transmits them to the MTX via Yamaha's proprietary YDIF connection.
The preamps for EXi8 can be controlled remotely from an MTX/MRX Editor.

EXo8 is connected to the system via YDIF and includes 8 channels of DA converters that convert the digital output into a high-quality analog signal.

° Digital network for MTX
Using two types of network connections with the MTX can significantly shorten time and costs.
The combination of YDIF for shorter links and DANTE for larger installations can greatly improve organizational flexibility.

° Audio network for MTX system
MTX processors are equipped with a YDIF digital transmission format; Yamaha's patented technology produces 16-channel audio and word clock transmission through a standard CAT5 Ethernet cable.
YDIF can be used to use multiple MTX devices or to feed the audio signal to XMV series amplifiers with simple cables up to 30 meters long.
- Distribution Mode: Maximum 16 channels can flow from the upper fixture to the lower fixture
- Cascade Mode: Can be used as an 8-channel cascade bus specifically for MTX | Communication can take place between multiple MTXs.

° Dante for MTX (MTX5-D, XMV-D only)
The MTX5-D is equipped with two Dante ports that allow it to manage 16 channels of input and output at 44.1kHz/48kHz on a redundant network.
The Audinate Dante Network audio protocol has been adopted not only on amplifiers and processors, but also on many other types of audio equipment such as Yamaha digital mixers. In version 3.2 and later, it supports HA control of "Rio series" and "Tio 1608-D" I/O rack.
This makes it the perfect backbone for larger audio network systems especially since connections are not limited to 30m maximum as with YDIF, but can go up to 100m with a CAT5e cable.
