XDCAM drive with small size and high performance
The PDW-U4 is a portable, easy-to-use unit that makes the benefits of Professional Disc media available to IT users as well. Combined with free Sony software, the device can be used to view multimedia content on a PC or Mac. It also provides full read / write capabilities from cooperating non-linear editing systems. The PDW-U4 is the successor of the PDW-U1 and PDW-U2 models. The device supports XDCAM Professional Discs in four / three / two and one layer versions. When using four-level (write-once) media, the available capacity is up to 128GB. Thanks to the use of a dual 4-channel DCHS drive, the efficiency is approximately double that of the PDW-U2 model.
