The HELO Plus H.264 Advanced Streamer & Recorder from AJA is a compact, stand-alone unit with the ability to simultaneously stream your content to two destinations while recording. H.264 capture options include an SD card slot, USB output, and network based NFS or CIFS storage. Advanced functions include a web GUI preview window, the ability to create PiP effects from multiple sources with graphic overlays, group control for multiple HELO Plus and Ki Pro units, and multiple local and remote-control options.
Portable, Stand-Alone Device
The compact, silent HELO Plus Recorder can be used in live events, sports, education, webcasts, news production, and more. This stand-alone device has stream and record buttons on the front of the unit as well as LED video and audio level indicators. The SD card and USB ports are also located on the front of the unit for easy access.
Remote or Local Control
Configure all the functions of the HELO Plus remotely via a web browser using your Ethernet connection and your laptop or desktop computer with the ability to control multiple HELO Plus units using a tabbed web browser. After setup, using the WebUI, you can control your HELO Plus unit using its front-panel buttons and audio meters, via the WebUI, or using REST API remote control.
Video and Audio Support
The HELO Plus supports HD and SD video formats up to 1080p60 with H.264/MPEG-4 encoding and 32-256 kb/s, 48 kHz, 2-ch stereo MPEG-4 AAC-LC audio.
SRT Support
Support for SRT the open-source SRT video transport protocol optimizes streaming performance across unpredictable networks with secure streams and easy firewall traversal, producing the high-quality live video over the network. The HELO Plus uses SRT (plus encryption) to deliver streaming video content securely with low latency and secure reliability.
Simultaneous Streaming & Recording
Stream and record up to 1080p60 video simultaneously in these combinations:

Stream to two destinations and record to local SD card storage
Stream to two destinations and record to local USB storage
Stream to two destinations and record to NFS/CIFS network storage

Calendar Integration
HELO Plus offers a scheduler that triggers pre-planned start/stop recording and streaming for AV, live events, houses of worship, webcasting, corporate communications, production, and post projects requiring definitive schedules. The schedule may be programmed locally through HELO Plus' web UI, importing .ics files, or linking to external schedulers like Google Calendar.
Multiple-Input Layouts
Use the HELO Plus to combine multiple SDI and HDMI inputs into a single screen with a graphic element overlay with up to three layers. Each live video source can be downscaled for PiP use with internally generated mattes positioned over the PiP element. Up to 10 layouts can be stored and recalled in each of the 20 presets and 90+ images can be stored internally.
Dual Streaming Outputs
The HELO Plus uses dual encoders for its streaming outputs, offering the flexibility to create different output settings from a single input source. These two encoders can be set to different packaging settings and different output frame sizes, enabling a single content stream to be presented in two ways to serve a wider audience. A single stream can also be duplicated across both encoders for added resilience. Either of these encoder outputs can serve as the source for the HELO Plus recording system as well.
