Blackmagic Design SmartView 4K G3 15.6" DCI 4K Broadcast Monitor with SMPTE 2110 (6 RU)

SmartView 4K G3 features built in optical and copper SMPTE-2110 IP video connections so you can connect directly to IP based broadcast systems.
You also get two 12G-SDI inputs for connecting to a wide range of professional video equipment.
Plus both the 12G-SDI and 2110 video inputs can output to a 12G-SDI loop output connection.
The design still features a lightweight machined aluminum chassis and a full resolution Ultra HD LCD.
The on screen overlays include focus peaking, framing guides, safe area and more.
You also get built in 3D LUTs for adding creative looks, converting log film gamma or handling custom HDR profiles.

° Broadcast
SmartView 4K is ideal for broadcast as it supports both 12G-SDI and 2110 IP up to 2160p60. Switch between SDI and IP at the push of a button!
SmartView 4K follows the video input so will switch between all SD, HD or Ultra HD standards automatically!

° Live Production
For live production, it's vital to get a solution with features to accurately monitor cameras.
Powerful camera features include focus peaking, zoom, aspect ratio markers and tally.
Plus the 4K display lets you see incredibly fine camera image detail.

° Fly Away Kits
SmartView 4K is lightweight aluminum so it's light, plus it's only a few inches deep, so allows great rack ventilation via natural convection.
Plus it has lots of camera and technical monitoring features!

° Anodized Machined Metal Design in Deep Black
SmartView 4K features an incredibly strong machined aluminum metal design with crisp clean lines.
The design is anodized in deep black, so it looks fantastic mounted in equipment racks with other Blackmagic Design equipment!
Plus SmartView 4K is only a few inches deep.
Because monitors are often installed at the top of equipment racks, this thin design allows a large area behind the monitor to better ventilate the whole rack and keep all the equipment cool.
Along the bottom of the SmartView 4K is a range of button controls that are tilted slightly so they're easier to press.
On the rear of the monitor are all the video connections, plus there's even a VESA mounting point!

° Bright High Resolution Display
The LCD used on SmartView 4K features an extremely high resolution so it will display every pixel in an Ultra HD image.
That means you get an incredibly clean image with deep color fidelity.
To avoid messy fingerprints on the LCD screen, SmartView 4K has a row of buttons along the bottom of the screen so you can adjust all the monitor controls without touching the screen. SmartView 4K is designed for broadcast so it will instantly lock to a new video source, which is very common when the monitor is connected to a router and the input can change constantly to different timed sources.
Unlike TVs, the video is not over scanned so you get all image pixels right to the edge of the LCD.

° Front Panel Buttons for Monitor Control
The SmartView 4K front panel includes a wide range of monitoring controls!
The input button selects between the two 12G-SDI video inputs and the 2110 IP video input.
The display button allows you to adjust display brightness.
The H/V display is a traditional broadcast monitor function that lets you look into the image blanking.
Blue only is great for checking hue from SD archive content.
The zoom button lets you zoom the image in for adjusting camera focus.
Peaking highlights sharp image detail and is also perfect for adjusting camera focus.
The 3D LUT buttons let you enable and switch between 3D LUTs.
The H and V marker buttons let you display and adjust up to 4 on screen markers.

° Get Color Accurate Monitoring with 3D LUTs
Broadcasters and feature film productions often work with SDI sources that are encoded with log film gamma or an HDR profile.
This means the images can look washed out or have incorrect colors.
SmartView 4K solves this problem because it includes support for 3D LUTs!
This means you can use a 3D LUT to re-map the SDI or 2110 input colorspace to the SmartView 4K screen.
Plus you could also use 3D LUTs for exciting creative looks! 3D LUTs are easy to use and are uploaded using the SmartView utility.
You can also export DaVinci Resolve color grades as custom 3D LUTs.
Because DaVinci Resolve can be downloaded free, it costs absolutely nothing to start creating a library of exciting 3D LUTs!
