How is it possible to cover every need? A dedicated AF engine that is faster than in the past. An arrangement of 105 cross-type sensors all selectable with a coverage with a higher density of 1.6x compared to the D5. Group AF area with more customization settings for exceptional tracking. An improved scene recognition system for higher level subject acquisition. The D6 offers more ways to predict and capture action than ever before.

Perfect winning shot

A wider range of Group Area AF models can be selected to optimize the AF configuration for any type of work. In addition, it allows you to avoid fixed obstacles, such as tennis nets, in the line of sight and to capture sharper shots of the action.

Priority to the eyes

The D6 is the first DSLR to allow focus on the subject's eyes to be prioritized when using the Auto AF area or 3D tracking. Thanks to the wider high density coverage, it is possible to immortalize the fleeting resolute and determined expression of the samples.

Excellent in any light condition

Tracking is incredibly accurate, even in the most difficult lighting conditions imaginable.
AF sensitivity down to -4.5 EV at the center AF point and -4 EV at all other points allows you to follow the action at night.
