The MY16AT Mini-YGDAI Digital I/O can be used with the Yamaha DM2000 consoles. The 02R96, DM1000, and future digital consoles provide up to 16 simultaneous channels of ADAT (optical) I/O via a single expansion slot.
All 16 channels can be used independently at sample rates up to 48 kHz, or they can be used for a "dual-channel" connection to 96 kHz recorders, providing eight channels of I/O at either 88.2 or 96 kHz.
Although the DM2000, DM1000, and 02R96 handle 96 kHz audio as standard, most currently available digital recorders can only handle 96 kHz audio in "dual-channel" mode (using two tracks to make one).
In this configuration, the DM2000, DM1000, and 02R96 use one channel for one 96 kHz track, but double the I/O connections must be used.
