One of the lightest lenses in FUJIFILM's XF range, the FUJINON XF18mmF2 R prime lens has a wide range of applications and is particularly popular with landscape and street photographers.
That's because when combined with any X Series camera body, it creates a compact outfit that delivers exceptional images and can easily be slung over the shoulder for a full day's shooting.

Aperture ring
The aperture ring allows smooth operation with settings in one-third stop increments between the F2 and F16 limits.

This makes it easy to precisely control depth of field and exposure.

Super Electron Beam Coating
The lens elements used in the optical construction of the XF18mmF2 R are specially coated with Fujifilm's Super EBC.
EBC stands for Electron Beam Coating, a process that applies multiple thin, uniform optical coatings to glass.
Lenses coated with Super EBC help reduce flare and ghosting while delivering brilliant colors and sharper details.

Shaped aperture diaphragm
Rather than simply cutting the seven blades that make up the lens diaphragm, each one is carefully rounded at the edges.
As a result, images are sharper, and when shooting at the maximum aperture of F2, the resulting bokeh (out-of-focus areas) is smoother.
