PROSTAFF 5 fieldscopes are the entry level models of Nikon fieldscopes and the successors of the RA III series. The main body of PROSTAFF 5 fieldscopes is approximately 20% lighter than current RA III models. The newly developed zoom ocular lenses minimize chromatic aberration in the edges of the field of view and have a recessed projection design for maximum comfort.

Three types of ocular lenses with compatibility with the digiscoping system, allow mounting on a wide range of COOLPIX compact digital cameras using an FSB series digital camera bracket.
