12mm t2.9 Zero-D Cine E Mount

Laowa 12mm Cine is currently the largest t / 2.9 lens to cover both Full Frame and Vista Vision formats, making it an ideal wide angle for both professional and mirrorless cameras.

The coverage circle allows operators to use both Full Frame sensors (size = 43.14mm) and RED Monstro's Vista Vision sensors and Arri Alexa LF sensor (size @ open-gate = 44.7mm).
This lens is also ideal for Super35mm users thanks to the angle of view equivalent to a 17mm.



Super compact and lightweight
This 12mm lens is extremely compact despite the extreme specifications. It measures 87mm in length and weighs only 675g.
It can be easily adapted to all sorts of stabilizers including hand-held gimbals. .


Distortion approximate to zero
The optical distortion of extreme wide angles will never be a nightmare for operators again. The distortion ratio of quality wide angles on the market fluctuates from 2 to 4%. The Laowa Zero-D lenses, on the other hand, are able to reduce distortion to a level close to zero, as observed by many users of Zero-D lenses around the world.

Extremely short focusing distance
Laowa 12mm can focus at an extremely short distance, just 18cm from the sensor (about 10cm from the front element).
Ultra wide-angle optics habitually create a flat image with a large depth of field, but thanks to the close focus capability and brightness, Laowa 12mm can create a look with shallow depth of field and a nice bokeh effect.


Sturdy professional cinematic shell
Designed with standard 0.8 dials on both focus and aperture control for easy use on follow focus systems. A 270 ° ring has been designed for fine additional focus control. The entire outer body of the lens is made of aluminum alloy.
Included in the package an adapter ring to expand up to 114mm, standard of the matte boxes, the diameter of the front screw. Venus Optic has tested many matte boxes on the market and, once mounted, there is no vignetting with VV sensors.
