The Laowa 25-100mm t / 2.9 PL Mount Cine Metric Scale lens is a versatile all-in-one lens: from Ultra-wide to tele. It has Super35 + coverage, compatible with 4k UHD on Alexa Mini and 8k HD Resud Helium / 5k HD on Red Gemini, and a Parfocal design that allows focus to stay the same even when zooming in and out, keeping the subject sharp and in focus. In fact, the Breathing focus remains minimal allowing the frame to remain the same even when the focus is changed.
The Laowa 25-100mm keeps the T2.9 constant with super close focus: The brightness of the T2.9 allows you to shoot in low light situations throughout the zoom range. The lens can focus only 60cm away from the subject, which expands the creative possibilities.

Super35 + is a format that does not have a precise standard size. The Super 35 format has a diagonal that usually ranges from 31 to 34mm.
Some lenses declared Super35 actually cover only the smaller sensors of the range; OOOM on the other hand has a coverage compatible with the larger Super 35 sensors (> 33mm), so we have defined it as Super 35+.

CONSTANT T2.9 & SUPER CLOSE FOCUS
The large and constant T2.9 allows you to film in low-light throughout the whole zoom range. The extremely close focusing distance (2' from subject to sensor) opens up more opportunities for composition.

THE "OOOM LOOK"
The OOOM gives a beautiful vintage look in its colour and bokeh. The image is not overly contrasty nor flat but with good sharpness found in modern lens. It also renders a natural healthy skin tone and silky smooth transition.
