Macro lenses on the market tend to have a long focal length (from 60mm to 120mm) and the subject occupies most of the frame, isolated from the surrounding environment.
Laowa 24mm, on the other hand, allows you to focus really close (2cm @ 2:1), while showing lots of details and textures. At the same time, you can enjoy a wide angle view (84.1°) so more details of the environment can be included in the shot.
This allows you to create more information-rich images with perspectives that no other lens can achieve.
The ability to focus so close opens up a wide range of shooting possibilities.
With the Laowa Probe, you can reach a maximum magnification of 2:1, allowing you to portray very small insects and reveal details that are not visible to the naked eye.

This wide angle design also means greater depth of field at short distances (compared to tele macro lenses).
