The new lenses are designed for Sony's E-mount and have several interesting and important features such as follow focus gears, tally lamp, and unified form factor for the entire range. Thanks to the uniform weight and size, it is easier to use the lenses with accessories such as gimbals or drones as there is no need to rebalance, which can sometimes take a long time. The lens series consists of 20mm T1.9, 24mm T1.9, 35mm T1.9, 45mm T1.9 and 75mm T1.9.

The new V-AF series supports resolutions up to 8K in a small, lightweight form suitable for use with handheld gimbals and drones, as well as on location studios and productions. All lenses in the new series are color-matched to prevent shifting when changing lenses, and the 9 aperture blades allow for natural-looking bokeh.

There is also a tally lamp on the front that shows when the camera is recording. A very popular feature, among others, by YouTubers.

There is a customizable dial on the side of the lens that can be set to use manual focus or allow aperture adjustment by turning the focus ring. Below that switch is a focus lock button, which allows you to lock the focus at a certain distance. The user can also assign other desired functions to the slider by updating the firmware.

The lens construction of the new V-AF 75mm T1.9 consists of 10 elements in 9 groups and features 2 special ED and 2 HR lenses that will provide a sharp and cinematic look to your video. Focus is handled by Samyang's STM linear focus motor which provides quiet and smooth autofocus that minimizes vibration and noise. The 9-blade circular aperture design creates a smooth bokeh with a blurred background that makes subjects stand out with a deep dimensional impact.
