Color-matched 4K HDR viewing monitor with the BVM-HX310 reference monitor, ideal for 4K and HD productions
The PVM-X3200 is a 32" high-end 4K HDR viewing monitor that incorporates a dedicated premium LCD panel from Sony with a luminance of 1000 cd/m2 and offers color matching with the BVM-HX310 4K HDR reference monitor This solution simplifies group monitoring for on-set, studio or OB van applications, as well as in 19" EIA racks for editing, audio mixing and more.
TRIMASTER has perfected color reproduction, precision imaging and uniformity of image quality
Sony's acclaimed TRIMASTER architecture ensures accurate image reproduction, precision imaging and consistent image quality.
The signal processing system and control panel offer numerous advantages, including fast processing, accurate linearization of the input signal thanks to the Optical Electrical Transfer function, precise color reproduction and much more.
Support HDR-SDR conversion
With the optional PVML-HSX1 HDR-SDR conversion license, the PVM-X3200 supports HDR-SDR conversion in live production environments.
The license allows you to activate: 4K to HD conversion, color space conversion, OETF conversion, progressive to interlaced conversion and Quad-link 3G to Single-link 12G conversion.
It also allows you to playback the converted images on other 4K or HD monitors via optimized monitor output.
This feature simplifies local or remote monitoring of converted signals.
Signal output support for user 3D LUT
The optional PVML-HSX1 HDR-SDR conversion license also supports output signals with user-applied 3D LUTs via optimized monitor output to other 4K/HD devices, contributing to even more efficient workflows in live production, cinema, theatre, advertising, music and documentaries.
SR Live metadata
SR Live metadata support allows you to match the PVM-X3200 monitor settings to the incoming signal.
You can also check SR Live metadata parameters on an incoming SDI signal in the status menu.
This makes using the monitor in SR Live workflows easier.
Unit with hard dynamic contrast and Black Detail High/Mid/Low mode
The Dynamic Contrast Unit is a new backlight control system that dynamically changes the luminance of the panel backlight based on the content, allowing you to see the total balance of highlights and shadows at a glance.
The feature can be used to reproduce black representation in dark content, such as night scenes, and provide dramatic highlights in very bright content such as snow and beach scenes. The Dynamic Contrast Drive feature provides a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.

Due to the very nature of LCD panels, some backlight leakage is inevitable.
To compensate, the Black Detail mode's High/Mid/Low options make it easier to more accurately monitor black detail in dark images with low average image level.
The backlight level is reduced while the gamma is maintained to achieve correct grayscale and color. Areas with high luminance levels may be cut out due to the monitor's dynamic range.
Any cropped portion can appear as cropped or highlighted with zebra patterns.
Inputs for 12G-SDI and Quad-Link 3G-SDI to HD-SDI and HDMI
The PVM-X3200 offers 12G-SDI inputs and is compatible with Quad-Link 3G-SDI and single HD-SDI signals from mainstream devices. The monitor also supports an HDMI connection for displaying inputs with signal formats ranging from PC 640 x 480/60P to PC 4096 x 2160/60P 4:2:2 YCBCR 12-bit.

Waveform monitoring and vectorscope can be displayed simultaneously with HDR and SDR scales, for verification of both input signal level and output luminance. There are three different displays of luminance, RGB/YCBCR alignment or RGB overlay with gamut error display. Furthermore, the waveform of a specific line can also be displayed.
Additionally, in future firmware releases, a color gamut will be available that maps colors in the CIE1931 standard table to the standard color space area display.

* Firmware update will be available later.
The calendar has not yet been established, information will be sent separately.
V2.0 firmware can be updated via the monitor's USB port
