Tiffen UV filter (27 mm)

The Tiffen UV Protection Filter is a general purpose clear filter that helps absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight.
This filter is especially useful when photographing at high altitudes or around bodies of water.
No additional color or contrast is provided, allowing this filter to be paired with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to always leave on the lenses. Filters help reduce dust and moisture from reaching the lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratches may occur.
Tiffen filters are made with ColorCore technology, a process that involves rolling the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, flat grinding it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it to precision metal rings.
