In the fourth generation Scarlett series you will find new microphone preamplifiers with enhanced gain, which can provide up to 69dB of gain, new converters derived from the Rednet series which guarantee a dynamic range of 116dB on the inputs and 120dB on the outputs.
The headphone output has also been optimised, both in terms of impedance, we are at 300Ohm, and in terms of dynamic range and power.

In the Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen. sound card the XLR and Jack inputs are now separate, no longer combos.
The connectors are Neutrik and the jack has priority over the XLR: if we insert a jack connector the microphone socket and the respective preamplification will automatically be disabled.
