Laowa Venus Optics Argus 18mm f / 0.95 APO lens for Micro 4/3 equivalent to a 35mm full frame, shows the same characteristics that distinguish the series: Aperture
maximum f / 0.95, which thanks to the use of an aspherical lens combined with an ED lens and four UHRs, manages to provide excellent optical performance even at full aperture. The lens also uses an APO design to minimize chromatic aberations. Internal focusing movement and ring with wide excursion, to facilitate the search for the perfect focus and allow a very gradual change of subject, especially appreciated in the video.

The optics are designed with apochromatic optical design (APO) which
suppresses longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberration in both in-focus and out-of-focus areas.

Laowa Argus 18mm f / 0.95 CF MFT can focus at a very close distance, just 20cm, creating an extremely blurry background. It allows the photographer to capture different perspectives with details of the object.

Focus ring conversion system

Laowa Argus 18mm f / 0.95 MFT is made from a sturdy metal alloy and accepts 62mm screw filters.

For video use it is possible to convert the focus mode from click-stop to continuous, in order to make the change in brightness smooth and prevent ring noise from being recorded in the audio.

Minimal Focus Breathing
Both lenses feature minimal focus breathing, perfect for narrative-type video shooting.
Minimal focus breathing eliminates the distraction of view angle changes when shifting focus from plane to plane.

Internal focus
Internal focusing maximizes optical performance while improving stability.
It is compatible with accessories designed to be set to a specific position such as polarizers, petal shaped lens hoods. An absolute advantage for both photography and videography.
