NoiseAssist is very useful in many applications - for example, fast turnaround productions (where there is no time for post), live broadcast and streaming, preview on set, feeds to video village, IFB feeds, rough guide mixes, and more. For film/tv, we recommend taking full advantage of the extremely flexible routing of the 8-Series. By sending the incoming signal to multiple channels, you can record one ISO as "raw" and the other ISO channel with NoiseAssist. You can also simultaneously record and output NoiseAssist-ed and "raw" mixes by selecting or de-selecting which buses to apply NoiseAssist to.
NoiseAssist is just another tool in your toolbox and it is up to the sound mixer to use it wisely.
